The Suzhou Western Ecological Tourism Resort is located on the western shore of Taihu Lake in the High-tech Zone, primarily within the Town Lake Street of Suzhou Western Ecological City, with a total area of 19 square kilometers. Since its establishment in 2011, it has consistently adhered to the principles of "ecological priority" and "tourism strength". Guided by the concepts of "fashion, green, and leisure", it effectively leverages the unique natural landscape resources in the area, promoting scientific tourism and eco-leisure tourism based on wetland parks and lakeside ecological landscapes. It also promotes cultural experiential tourism and study tours by utilizing embroidery products and embroidery cultural elements as carriers. Through the cultivation of ecological sightseeing, cultural experiences, and leisure health, it nurtures the theme of holiday tourism.

Additionally, through the development of themed resort hotels, supporting tourism commercial real estate, tourist residential real estate, and cultural squares, we aim to create a vacation destination that integrates traditional festive performances with modern lifestyles, promoting the harmonious development of ecology, culture, and tourism.

In November 2011, it was approved by the Suzhou Municipal Government as a municipal-level tourist resort. In May 2014, it was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Government as a provincial-level tourist resort. In February 2015, it was approved by the National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of Environmental Protection as a national ecological tourism demonstration area.
